The present work proposes the elaboration of a manual for compliance with the mandatory administrative and legal routines for customs clearance in the import and export of perishable samples used in scientific research, using international express transport and the Electronic Information System of the Federal Government. In order to do this, we raise the Federal and State Legislation that regularize the services of international express carriers in order to identify what can and can not be sent by this modality of transportation; we selected the most appropriate forms for the materials usually exported and imported by UNIFESP researchers and we elaborated a routine for opening the administrative process of export and import using the Electronic Information System. As a result and product of this work, we have prepared two manuals, one for import and another for export. We conclude this work with the detailed guidelines within the respective manuals, both the researcher and the Administrative Technical Officer in Education about the opening of the electronic process in the Electronic Information System and the necessary forms, in a single document.
