Resumo: | The research analyzes the relation between the RAP lyrics and teaching of History. The goal is to investigate how RAP lyrics genre can or should be considered pedagogical tools to the classroom, contributing to an ecology of knowledge of Mr. Boaventura´s de Souza Santos parameters. It is intended to present that, in addition to the condition of didactic tools for the production of historical knowledge in the classroom, the Rap lyrics are also important sources to reflect about the teaching of history, school culture and youth culture. It is assumed that rappers are historical people that exchange knowledge with the periphery youth and therefore, build interpretations of historical facts from specific points of view: black skinned and peripheral youth, resignifying their way of speech and creating singular readings of the past. For this, we are going to analyze four lyrics from the Rap Group “Face da Morte”, the group is from Hortolândia, countryside of São Paulo. The group began in 1995, and since then they have produced several works of critical nature and social reflection, typical of the Hip Hop universe, in special Rap music. The lyrics in question belong to the album MPB (Manifesto Popular Brasileiro), released in 2001, and the creation uses month name´s and historical facts that happened in them. This lyrics were analyzed and rewritten by students of the eighth grade of EMEF Dirce Genésio dos Santos, located in Jardim Iguatemi, in the eastern zone of São Paulo. |
