Resumo: | The Objective Of This Research Is To Analyze How The Objective Conditions Of Existence Influence The "Choice" By A College Based On Social Recruitment In The Guarulhos And São Paulo Campuses Of Unifesp. Given The Panorama On The Conflicts That Motivate The Social Recruitment In The Faculties, The Focus Extends To A More Detailed Analysis Of The Medical School In The Context Of The Emergence Of The Quotas Policy. Notoriously Recognized As A Space For The Formation Of The Temporal Elites, The First Group Composed Of Half Of The Students, Brings New Agents Differentiated From The Traditional Profile In The Medical Field. Such Changes Reconfigure Aspects Of The Dispute Over Prestige Positions And The Symbolic Clash Over The Legitimacy Of Discourse About Faculty.
