Libras e educação científica na infância: uma experiência na formação inicial em Pedagogia

Resumo: | The Stand of Science (SS), a scientific dissemination initiative that uses low-cost recreational teaching materials (TD) for exhibitions and events is mainly targeted at public elementary schools. In 2018, the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID) of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) on the Guarulhos campus, together with the BC project, joined in an initiative to train mediators and future teachers to act in the processes interactive programs for scientific dissemination in bilingual schools (Brazilian Sign Language/Portuguese). Considering the accessibility strategies aimed at deaf children and the lack of specific training of PIBID/SS mediators regarding deaf culture, the present study aimed to investigate the training process of future teachers for science education with deaf children in the perspective of scientific diffusion. To achieve this objective, the following was done: a bibliographic survey on the studied subject; the training of mediators regarding Libras and deaf culture; the speech analysis proposed by Orlandi (2009) of the field diary (which is a blog that mediators fill out after interventions and planning meetings) of mediators regarding the eight interventions carried out with two classes with deaf children from a bilingual school in Guarulhos. The subjects of this research were three undergraduate students of the pedagogy of UNIFESP who acted as mediators of PIBID/SS in four interventions with deaf children. From the results and discussion it is possible to notice that Libras is the central point of questioning of the research subjects and members of the Bilingual Group. The dominance of Libras is the biggest challenge raised - above the issues of Natural Sciences and didactic materials - and its importance for communication and mediation of activities with deaf children is not questioned. For the research subjects, Libras is not the problem, but the solution of several difficulties when communicating with children. |
