Realidades ficcionadas e ficções realizadas: a construção social da realidade de meninas brasileiras no mercado do sexo

Resumo: What makes us watch a film and state ?this film shows the reality?? Based on the theoretical assumption that realities are socially constructed and the one who makes a film always choose ?as such reality?, according to Bazin, in the first part of my thesis I seek to investigate the impression of reality expressed in the discourse about the film Anjos do Sol (Dir. Rudi Lagemann, Brazil, 2006). The point that I would like to discuss is how some specific forms of violence were taken as ?reality par excellence?. In the second part, I analyze Sonhos Roubados (Dir. Sandra Werneck, Brasil, 2010), which was sponsored by the International Center for Research and Studies on Childhood (CIESPI) and Childhood Brasil. By interlinking elements of film analysis with the study of the reception of these films from the newspapers and the movement to combat sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, this research seek to contribute to the understanding of the social construction of the reality of the young Brazilian women into the commercial sex market based on the analysis of these abovementioned films, since they are also understood as producers of reality. Childhood, vulnerability, poverty, innocence and, ingenuity are the elements presented: it is imperative think about to whom they may concern, what they construct and what they do not allow to construct.
