Resumo: | The dissertation developed in the Master‟s Course in Education, Postgraduate Program the Federal University of Santa Maria/RS, Line of Research School Practice and Public Politics, has her centrality in Children Education and Public Politics in the Education related to this, which is the first stage of basic education. The main objective was to investigate the challenges and impacts of the implementation of ProInfância in a municipality of the RS Central Region, centering this program in the politics of quality regarding the care of small children from the perspective of municipal management and of professionals working in the management of school. The research site is the municipality of Restinga Sêca, specifically in a municipal school of children education builded via the ProInfância agreement. The research methodology is based on qualitative research conducted through fieldwork and documentary research - official school documents and official documents of the municipality - and unsystematic observation with registration in a field diary. Semi-structured interviews were made with teachers who work in the school in a classroom and in the management team, as well as teachers who are responsible for the previous and current management, in the EI Supervision at Education Department. The data were drawn up from systematic content analysis, inspired in Policy Cycle Approach, developed which allowed and generated our learnings on the implementation of an educational program at the same time was an ally to the identification of challenges are present in the current agenda of promoting quality of Children Education in this municipality to agreement ProInfância Program. Also allowed for the identification challenges that are presented to the subjects involved in the educational process of the school, among which we highlight the continuing education of teachers, school management, weaknesses in teaching practices and problems in infrastructure. From the dialogues and discussions that weave throughout this work, we reaffirmed that the municipality still has a big challenge in relation to meeting the targets for the care of the child population, however, the impact of the ProInfância Program in the municipality is positive, both for the opening of new vacancies in the Children Education, as in the proposition of a quality care for small children. |
