Resumo: New regulations of the electricity sector have requested greater efficiency from the power utilities in the performance of their distribution systems, requiring more rigorous quality and continuity energy levels. This work has the purpose of stating the best way to model the integer indicators of reliability for electric systems, financial resources and material distribution, aiming at an increased reliability of the distribution systems, which will allow to best evaluating the investment alternatives on the feeder universe, following the basic criteria of continuity in distribution systems. This context motivated this work whose proposal is the development of methodologies, algorithms and a computational tool for state estimation in distribution systems, aiming at a more adequate processing of all available information in the power utilities. The program developed, ASD, was prepared to attend the needs of the power utilities, benefiting the areas of operation, planning and maintenance, with special emphasis in the reliability of the electrical energy supply. This work is divided into 9 chapters dealing, respectively, with: introduction; literature revision; registering of energy supply interruptions (ways of registering and problem identification); statistic analysis of the interruptions (based on the data available on the data bank found in the power utilities); representation of the electrical topology and operational characteristics (the algorithm only takes into consideration the information of connections that really exist, dispensing the use of matrixes); protection and maneuver devices (restrictions and operational characteristics); algorithms of reliability optimization; practical results (case studies in RGE s concession area); contributions and the author s considerations about the program developed.
