Resumo: | The objective of this work was to perform an economic evaluation of the limestone recommendation under the traditional fixed rate soil management system in agriculture, compared with the variable rate Precision Farming system. The soil sample collection area is located in the municipality of São Luiz Gonzaga-RS. Being in 2015, we collect soil samples with GNSS positioning at variable rate, with the aid of CR Campeiro software, in which the area was demarcated and indicated the 8 georeferenced points to be collected and 5 sub-samples from each point. As for the soil sample collection in a conventional way, they were zigzagged throughout the area, totaling 15 points of collection. All samples were collected with the aid of the tool, modified excavator and following all technical recommendations of soil collection. All samples are sent to the UFSM soil laboratory. For economic analysis we used the average prices of inputs available in the region. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of variable rate inputs allowed to rationalize the amount of inputs applied, intervening in the soil fertility according to the crop needs, as well as promoting the reduction in production costs, characterized as an economically viable precision farming tool for use on commercial crops. |
