Resumo: | The research developed Heritage Education through the theme Paleontology in Early Childhood Education. The children's interest and curiosity for knowledge about dinosaurs was evident. The study region comprises the Geopark Quarta Colônia Aspirante UNESCO, comprising nine municipalities. This work is justified by the Paleontological richness found in the territory and the importance that, among the fossils, some of the oldest dinosaurs in the world can be observed. The objective was to promote the construction of knowledge about the Paleontological Heritage with kindergarten children, based on the elaboration of a video about dinosaur species found in the region. The research methodology of this dissertation involved qualitative research, case study, bibliographical, documental, field research, with content analysis and drawings produced by the children. The final product was structured from a video called: ―A Journey through the Municipalities of the Quarta Colônia: presenting our Dinosaurs‖, highlighting the municipalities where dinosaur fossils were found. Thus, the video presented a brief history and the characteristics of seven registered species, among them named: Pampadromaeus barberenai, Bagualosaurusacuteensis, Macrocollum itaquii, Erythrovenator jacuiensis, Guaibasaurus candelariensis, Buriolestes schultzi, Gnathovorax cabreirai. Subsequently, the audiovisual production was applied in the preschool classes, in Early Childhood Education at two schools. In this way, the video produced in this research expanded the resources and pedagogical materials about the existing fossils in the Quarta Colônia, in addition to providing more knowledge about the dinosaurs of the territory for children of Early Childhood Education. Finally, with this product, the lack of teaching materials on local fossils and the lack of knowledge about dinosaurs in the region were at least partially resolved. |
