“Não modulação”: arte contemporânea, beleza e o corpo na pós-modernidade

Resumo: | This research deals about contemporary artistic representations that use the body as a theme and the relations of these works as a post-modern condition. From a qualitative analysis based on bibliography, a comparative study was undertaken between the creations of two contemporary photographers. The research seeks to produce a dialogue between contemporary art, the recent representation of ideal of beauty and the postmodern socialcultural context. Two photographer’s works are analyzed: Rineke Dijkstra (Netherlands) and George Bispo (Brazil), whose immersions in the contemporary context address issues related to the concept of body, beauty and art, in interaction with the expectations of the hyperreal body. This study has as general objective accomplish a comparative analysis that allows relate the poetic between both artists, boundering their political positions as a co-relation with body’s artistic representation and the ideal of beauty at contemporaneity. Finally, the contributions that this art’s dialogue with the postmodern condition brought to the study of contemporary art. |
