Master Dissertation presented to Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação of Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). It is developed inside the research line Práticas Escolares e Políticas Públicas (School Practices and Public Policies). The theme is configured by the constructive processes of the professional identity of the pedagogue, and it is justified through the comprehension that every profession holds an identity and, in our present social configuration, it is in crises. Thus, we try to investigate the constructive processes that mark the identity configurations of the pedagogue, such as: the initial and continued formation, the pedagogical practice and the public policies. For this reason, we will interview five pedagogues with professional experience in the context of Children Education and The First Grades of Elementary School of Santa Maria RS. We will use the methodological approach the modality - Oral Report of Life History (Meihy, 2007 and Thompson, 1992), aveng the narrative recorded and transcribed with data collection instrument. The theoretical foundation and the analysis will have the theoretical approach such as: (Nóvoa, 1992, 2009; Abraham, 1986; Libâneo, 2003, 2006; Saviani, 2007, 2008 end Gadamer, 1993).
