Resumo: Mozambique has registered a remarkable growth of the academic community in recent times. But these high numbers are not directly proportional to the level of teaching quality. This study is proposed in line with the need to improve this quality, based on the centrality that audiovisual language has had in face-to-face learning environments and on the web. And aiming to explore the potential of technological mediation embodied by the use of interactive audiovisual as a language and methodology that can contribute to improving the quality of the teaching and learning process in the country's public system. Therefore, a theoretical study of the relationship between communication, education and mediation of interactive audiovisual technologies was carried out, followed by an analysis of a series of interactive videos to identify and understand the specificities of interaction. It was found that the exploration of all the potential of this media and technological device takes place in a very limited way. Among the causes of this is the complexity of its creation, which requires a lot of creativity, available time, work team and material resources to put into effect even the basic interactive options. Given this finding, with the purpose of giving a practical contribution to the Pedagogical University of Maputo, based on the knowledge acquired during the research, a proposal for edu-communicative training of future teachers for the use, appropriation and production of interactive audiovisual language as a didactic tool with potential for innovation, inclusion and participation in pedagogical practices, was developed.
