Resumo: | Long Course Trails are an important leisure tool, preserving the environment and generating employment and sustainable income. In Brazil, they are managed by the Rede Nacional de Trilhas and their inspiration and improvement came from international models. This sport is practiced on foot or by bicycle, over at least one day of activity, usually linking regions of remarkable environmental and landscape importance, and whoever travels a long distance path contributes to the promotion of conservation in the region and economic development. sustainable, through the use of accommodation, food and different forms of service provision. In Rio Grande do Sul, some Long Distance Trails have been establishing themselves for some years now, such as the Cassino – Barra do Chuí trail, Santos Mártires das Missões trail and the Caravaggio paths. In the context of the southern half of the state, some sustainable development initiatives have sought to stimulate the economy. One of the most recent was the recognition, by UNESCO, of the Caçapava Geopark, in the homonymous municipality, in view of the enormous and unique geodiversity of the region. This same characteristic motivated the elaboration of this work, uniting sport with geodiversity, and going beyond, making use of geosystemic concepts, which also use bio and sociodiversity to provide a complete integration of the environment. Thus, the objective of this dissertation is to propose the construction of the Caminho da Geodiversidade Gaúcha, which runs 500 km in 6 municipalities, whose vocation is geodiversity. In this work, a description of the geological, biological and anthropic aspects of the 3 different sectors of the path is being presented, as well as 43 points of logistical support and of educational and environmental interest. Preliminary maps were prepared by remote sensing and after that, field work was carried out, which provided an improvement in the route, through joint construction with the community that inhabits along the way. It is expected that the Gaucho Geodiversity Path will be added to the other sustainable development strategies in the region and will further improve the sense of belonging of the community that lives here, bring better socio-economic conditions and contribute to the preservation of the Pampa biome. |
