Resumo: This work presents a study of the communication circuit around the first three reports in the “Vaza Jato” series, published by the news agency The Intercept Brasil (TIB). This perspective is part of the reflections proposed by Braga et al (2017) on the emergence of the circulation instance in the context of mediatization (FAUSTO NETO, 2017; BRAGA et al, 2017). Thus, we propose as a general objective to identify and analyze meanings that circulate in the dispositional arrangements, also known as interaction devices (BRAGA, 2018), which constitute the communication circuit in the case of the first three reports in the “Vaza Jato” series broadcast by TIB. To address this, the investigation has as specific objectives: a) to map the dispositional arrangements that constitute the communicational circuit; b) to analyze the meanings and the procedurality of communicational episodes; c) to identify approximations and distances between the dispositional arrangements that make up the communicational circuit; d) identify and analyze the meanings that emerge in the circuit through the metrics employed and e) reflect on the contributions of the proposed methodological experimentation. The methodological design follows the precepts of the case study (YIN, 2015), as we conceive that the communicational circuit is constituted by the interactive devices (BRAGA, 2017) that are the platforms (VAN DIJCK, 2013), such as the TIB website, its fanpage and Youtube channel. We developed our methodological design based on the use of graphics generated by lexicometric analysis software Iramuteq, of maximum trees of similarity analysis (DEGENNE & VERGÈS, 1973; VERGÈS & BOURICHE, 2001), the word cloud and the statistics generated from them, so that we can make inferences about the meanings present in the communicational episodes (BRAGA et al, 2017) and finish the investigation in the instance of the communicational circuit (BRAGA et al, 2017). From our findings, we highlight that there are approximate meanings in the three dispositional arrangements (BRAGA, 2018), such as the notion of the culpability of former President Lula and doubts about the anonymous sources used by the news agency. In addition, we conceive from the analytical integration of the metrics of the average occurrence of words, the percentages of relative frequency of the use of words and the centrality of intermediation (NEWMAN & GIRVAN, 2004; BRANDES, 2001) that there is greater depth in the questions raised by readers in the arrangement of the site, just as there is a predominance of hashtags in the arrangement of the fanpage.
