Resumo: | Burnout is a psychosocial and multidimensional phenomenon that occurs as a response to chronic work stress, comprising three dimensions: emotional exhaustion; Depersonalization and low achievement at work. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the occurrence of burnout among nursing personnel at the Military Hospitals of the Brazilian Army of Rio Grande do Sul. This is a cross-sectional epidemiological study involving 173 nursing personnel from the five military hospitals of Rio Grande do Sul South. A questionnaire was used for sociodemographic and professional characterization and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) for burnout evaluation. The data were collected between December 2015 and May 2016. For the analysis of the data, we used descriptive and analytical statistics. The results are presented in two articles, the first one entitled, "Prevalence of burnout in military nursing workers of the Brazilian Army in Rio Grande do Sul", in which the burnout syndrome among military nursing workers was evidenced, The second, "Socio-demographic and labor aspects associated with burnout in military nursing workers of the Brazilian Army", which showed a larger number of military nursing workers with burnout in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. It is concluded that burnout occurs among military personnel Of nursing in the Brazilian Army in Rio Grande do Sul and that measures and actions of primary health level can minimize the deleterious effects of this disease, such as lack of motivation at work, physical and mental fatigue. |
