This abstract is the result of an ongoing research, which aims to analyze whether the State School of High School Assis Brasil in Alecrim / RS is the territory of rural education. Considering this objective, qualitative research is listed as a methodological approach, using dialectics as the method. For that, I follow investigative paths that try to answer my research problem. The analysis undertaken tends to the perception of elements that imply forms of effectuation and access and permanence of students graduating from schools in the rural area of that town. The discussions constructed in the text are pertinent to understand this territory, and therefore provide the visualization of the traced paths. Thus, in this investigative path, this territory can be visualized, being at times a territory of rural education, even with its pedagogical policy proposal not presenting this program, and in others, a territory that continues with its pedagogical proposal.
