This paper shows an approach to electrical generation using Biomass (rice husk, wooden residual) through which it was possible to observe a better enclosure of knowledge about environmental management. The methodology used was through direct interviews with people in charge in the power plants at Urbano Agroindustrial Ltda in São Gabriel, and at Forjasul Madeiras S.A. Company in Encruzilhada do Sul. It was possible verify that both are self-sustainable but none of the concessionaries AES Sul - São Gabriel and CEEE - Encruzilhada do Sul showed any interest in the energetic utilization of them, so the firms produce only the energy they will use. In that way the competitive factors and environmental administration work together for the residues generated by the firms are utilized in the generation of energy and no more thrown in the environment. It was concluded that it is necessary that the studied firms obtain a better knowledge on the system of environment administration through a partnership with the mentioned concessionaries in order to reach an agreement to the utilization of the energy generated in excess to obtain a cleaner energy, and so being more competiti
