Resumo: | The objective of this work was to evaluate the economic profitability of different milk producing properties based on the bromatological quality of corn silages. Corn silage has a fundamental role in the nutrition of the dairy herd, being neglected only by grasses in preference for conserved materials. In addition to a satisfactory yield, corn silage has a very favorable quality for the nutrition of dairy cows, due to the high availability of starch, contributing to the energy required in the diets, in addition to fiber, responsible for rumination, pH control and ruminal health. Thus, corn silage has economic importance within rural properties, as it is the staple food for the whole year. In times when there is a greater deficiency of pasture in the field, the cost of production of corn silage and the quality that it will present will be used to choose the type of concentrate for the correct balance of the herd's diet. The silages that contribute with a higher concentration of nutrients reduce the production costs linked to the use of the concentrate, because in addition to decreasing the amount of the concentrate, they allow the levels of requirement of the animals for that reality to be met. |
