Resumo: The analysis of waffles slabs has been theme of several researches, seen the difficulty of determination of strength and displacements that this structural system presents, as well as, the discrepancies that the calculation model suggested by NBR 6118:2003 have been demonstrated. The use of exact methods in the calculation of waffles slabs becomes unsuitable for the fact that the geometries of some in the structures of constructions is of extreme complexity. This way, the Finite Element Method has shown a tool for analysis of structures with potential to solve problems with high complexity. Therefore, in this work it is proposed models for design using the Finite Element Method, through the three-dimensional modeling of structures of waffles slabs and ribbing flat slabs. The involved parameters are verified in the calculation of this structure type like, the modulus of elasticity, and the methods for determination of the equivalent section, witch simplify the ribbing section, with the objective of using these parameters in the calculation through the Finite Element Method by finite elements of plane. After the analysis, have been compared the results of the proposed model and each parameter is compared with experimental results in the bibliography.
