Interfaces entre trabalho e família: uma análise na perspectiva do profissional docente

Resumo: This study has as general objective to analyze the configuration of the interfaces between work and family from the perception of the teachers of higher education institutions. To accomplish this purpose, the following specific objectives were formulated: a) to identify the levels of work-family conflict in the teachers' perception; b) identify the levels of positive interface between the work and the family in the teachers' perception; c) to correlate constructs of conflict and positive interface between work and family; d) to associate the levels of conflict and positive interface between work and family with the variables of the sociodemographic and occupational profile of the teachers; e) investigate the variables that configure the interfaces between work and family in the teachers' perception. Thus, a research of descriptive and exploratory nature was carried out, using a mixed, quantitative and qualitative approach, structured in two phases that differ strategically, but complement each other in their objectives. In the quantitative phase, the teachers answered a questionnaire about the conflict and the positive interface between work and family, adapted and elaborated by Bastos and Aguiar (2014) and Aguiar (2016), respectively. The analysis of the data collected in this stage was performed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and correspondence. From the results of this stage, the qualitative approach phase was implemented, in which data collection was accomplished through a semi-structured interview script. The information obtained in this stage was analyzed using the content analysis technique. The main results found in this study allow to conclude that the positive perceptions of the interaction between work and family stand out the negative ones in the teacher perception. However, there is a need to pay attention to naturalization given the high demands of work and involvement implied to these professionals.
