Resumo: | The main theme of this dissertation is a study on the access and dissemination of digital archival documents available at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), and its involvement with the principles of Archival Science and the management of public organizations. It is noticed that not everyone who works in the institutional scenario of higher education is prepared for the frequent technological advances in the area, and the importance of making documents available in digital media in the public and private spheres is blatant. Therefore, the research is based on the analysis of the applicability and use of the ICA-AtoM tool (acronym for International Council on Archives – Access to Memory), open source software, whose creation was supported by the International Council on Archives (CIA), was funded by UNESCO and three other archival institutions: Archival School of Holland, Archives of France and National Archives of the United Arab Emirates. It is currently applied in Brazil in accordance with the guidelines of the National Council of Archives (CONARQ), the National Archives System (SINAR) and the Law on Access to Information (LAI). In conjunction with the analysis of the ICA-AtoM, the UFSM Documents Portal is also analyzed, which is a new software that has been used by the Institution and already holds several archival documents disseminated, such as the normative acts and processes generated in the Institution. The research is classified as a case study, predominantly as quali-quantitative, of an exploratory nature, classified as bibliographic and continued with the application of interviews in a focus group format. The general objective of the research was to develop a basic guide for the university community in accessible language and to promote a more assertive use of UFSM documents via the web and aware of their potential. With this, it was expected from the study that the document prepared aimed to contribute to the university community in relation to more efficient searches of UFSM digital documents. As a result of the research, the data obtained indicate that the UFSM Documents Portal is seen as a promising support for the dissemination of University documents in relation to the use of the ICA-AtoM, with this, the document prepared has the pros and cons of the two softwares, making it clear to the user that the software that has the most published information is the Documents Portal. |
