Resumo: Management by process consists of an organized sequence of activities and its implementation through several phases and corresponding tasks, which result not only in standard routines but also in setting up evaluation and control operations all of which open up chances of improvement. This article deals with an experimental attempt to utilize elements of a management by process methodology aiming at devising a management model for use in hospital physiotherapeutic attendance in myocardial revascularization surgical. Such a model is based on the DOMP methodology (Documentation, Organization and Process Improvement). This study resulted in the construction of eventOgrams (generating and receptive activities), of an infOgrams (information storage), and of a functiOgram (organizational structure which supports the whole process). It also presents a proposal for simulating the process and suggests forms of implementation. Inside of this frame clinical tests of incentive spirometry in detriment of the conventional techniques, had been carried through, for promotion from the reestablishment of the pulmonary function, setting up evaluation operations. This had disclosed that both modalities of treatment are considered efficient and no superior to another one.
