Resumo: | This study approaches to organizational culture and quality management in a university hospital. Based on the review of the culture models aimed to understanding the importance of organizational culture for the development of quality. Brazilian organizational culture is contextualized identifying the importance of national culture and its influences represented by Brazilian traits. The quality and shows the quality management system in the health context is conceptualized-addressing the certification ISO 9001: 2008 and the hospital accreditation. Before the two constructs we seek to answer the following research problem: What elements of organizational culture influence on the principles of quality of ISO 9001: 2008 in the perception of professionals in a University Hospital (UH)? And aims to identify elements of the organizational culture that influence the principles of the ISO 9001/2008 quality perceptions of professionals in a University Hospital. To answer the following question adopts the method descriptive, correlational and quantitative. Apply questionnaires to 189 health professionals from HU certificates sectors. The data using descriptive statistics are analyzed and correlations between the constructs using the software "microsoft excel", "Statistical Package for Social Sciences" (SPSS) version 18 "and the" Statistical Analysis System "(SAS version 9.1). The study highlights that professionals perceive adoption of cooperative professionalism values and integration of external practices. Recognize in their practice all the principles of quality with emphasis on customer focus and involvement of people. The correlations between culture and quality are presented positive and significant associations between these constructs. |
