Resumo: This work, belonging to the education, politics and culture research line of the PPGE/UFSM, intends to deepen the discussion about the influence of the television in the practice of two teachers of Childish Education located in two schools of the city of Santa Maria, one public and another privet school. With that we have tried to identify witch conceptions and pedagogic practices used by the teachers in connection with the influence of the television presents on children, demonstrated on clothes, toys, schoolbags, dialogs and perceptions in front of several subjects discussed at school everyday. The methodoligic models used were the collective study of cases and the analyses of contents, consisting in a corpus of analysis based on interviews and ground diaries, beyond of pictures and draws of artifacts related to childish TV shows. Our theoretical reference tried to rescue the main theories related to the influence of communications vehicles in the capitalist society, passing through Adorno and Horkheimer and the theory of the Cultural Industry, Guy Debord and the named Society of the Spectacle until the theory of the Cultural Studies, which intends to analyze the main cultural productions as elements of contemporary society. Besides that, we have also tried to go through same researchers which thought the idea of childhood, emphasizing Neil Postman and his thesis about the disappearance of the idea of modern childhood and also authors of a more post-structural chain, which try to understand the new childish cultures . After the analysis of the research data we have identified that the analyzed teachers are poor of conceptions and critical pedagogic practices related to the influence of the television in the formation of childish subjectivity, either for having instrumentality conceptions about the use of communication vehicles or for not know in their initial formation and continued reflections about the relevance of the importance of the school as critical mediator between television and childish. We have also realized the de-phasing between childish cultures and the cultures of schools which, in many moments, silences the voices that denounce the effects produced on children by the midiatic speeches, with consumption pattern, values, examples of relationships between the individuals, etc. We conclude the research emphasizing the educational institutions emergency to invest in continued formation of the teachers, re-evaluating their objectives and inserting in their thematic reflections, as important as the discussed on this research, once it treats about the cultural constitution of their main representative: the children
