In this study the characteristics of the atmospheric turbulence were investigated in two sites of distinct topographies in the south of Brazil. In complex topography (Nova Roma do Sul), the data were measured by fast response sensors of 10Hz, in the months of June and July of 2002 and installed in a micrometeorological tower of 15m that if locates in the top of a valley of approximately 400m. For this site, was made a detailed description of the turbulence from the analysis intensity of turbulence of velocity wind and temperature normalized, fluxes superficial and spectra of Fourier of the wind speed in terms of the TSMO and separated second direction (parallel, transversal to the tower axis and transversal to the valley axis) and velocity wind (U < 1m/s and U > 1m/s)...
