Resumo: This research, linked to the Professional Master's Program in Networked Educational Technologies, in the Research Line of Management of Networked Educational Technologies at UFSM - RS, aims to analyze the different practices of use and appropriations of online authoring tools by Portuguese language teachers in the municipal education network of Alegrete. This dissertation adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and applied approach. As a theoretical framework, references on the Network Society, Language Teaching, Educommunication, and Publishing were used. For the methodology, data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire and semi-structured open interviews with teachers, and subsequently, the results were analyzed based on the delimited theoretical framework. Finally, based on the results obtained, an online course was developed with the aim of promoting the continuing education of teachers on the practice of book publishing through digital tools in the school context, as a way to promote student authorship.
