Resumo: |
Considering that science education should provide students with conceptual, procedural and attitudinal knowledge in order to develop the necessary skills to orient themselves in a complex society, understanding what is going on around them and making life decisions, it is also necessary to measure the contents attitudes in Elementary School. Given these assumptions, this study aimed to construct and validate a test of school performance in science with the perspective of measuring the development of attitudes with students in the initial and final grades of Elementary School. Ten items were built for the performance test, based on different attitudes to socio-scientific issues. The test passed through two validations, one external (students and expert judges) and one internal (factorial analysis and internal consistency). The test was administered to a sample of 490 students from the states of Sergipe and Piauí. The results of the statistical analyzes indicate that the items constructed for the test do not present internal consistency and satisfactory reliability to be used as an evaluation tool to measure attitudes as they are. |
