Resumo: Jatropha curcas L. is an oilseed crop species with potential for biodiesel production, however, lacks basic information for conducting commercial plantations. This study aimed to evaluate the floral phenology, molecular and agronomic characterization of accessions of physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.). The study was carried out in the Active Germplasm Bank of the Federal University of Sergipe, it was evaluate the main phenophases of plants (leaf falling, flushing, flowering and fruiting), the characterization of floral morphology, molecular characterization by RAPD molecular tool and seed biometry and oil content. Jatropha curcas L. enter dormant during the dry season, budding and flowering begin immediately after leaf falling and fruiting occurs during the period of highest rainfall. The physic nut plant is monoecious, with the occurrence of hermaphroditic flowers. There is genetic average similarity of the 52,6% among accessions of Jatropha curcas L. in UFS ABG. The oil content ranged from 18.50 to 34.00%. These accessions are potential genotypes to be used in breeding program of the species.
