Since the description of the pronunciation of Brazilian Portuguese (BP) still represents a field of research little studied, if we compare the research in this field with other areas of the Portuguese language studies (LP), we realize the importance of developing a work that would help fill some of the gaps regarding the description of this language and its different uses. In addition, we seek, in relation to treatment / teaching of unstressed oral vowels to foreigners, present a theoretical and methodological proposal based on the presuppositions of communicative approach. Therefore, we present some discussions about the pronunciation(s) of the Brazilian variety of PL in its use and operation in the teaching-learning Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL), with the aim of reflecting on their interfaces with the linguistic policies and plannings which aim of the promotion and dissemination of this language in the international and globalized scenery, and the main methods and approaches to language teaching, in order to verify the forms of treatment dispensed to the teaching of pronunciation. |
