Resumo: |
This research has as empirical focus the municipality of Salgado, which is inserted in the Piauí River basin. This choice was made due to the possibility of finding multiple uses of water without the necessary conservation for the maintenance of life, which result in practices of deforestation of riparian forests, on the banks of rivers and streams. Thus, the objective of the research is to analyze the socio-environmental impacts caused by the multiple uses of water in urban and rural spaces in the municipality of Salgado. Using as an initial hypothesis the rural environment, in which water receives sediment recharges due to deforestation in the vicinity of rivers, driven by agricultural activities that enhance the exposure of the soil to atmospheric agents and act in the transport and deposition of sediments on the riverbed, aiding silting. In the urban environment, water contamination is characterized by recharging effluents received from the municipal headquarters of Salgado and from villages that do not have effluent treatment and discharging all the waste into the same river where the waters are collected, treated and distributed to population. Thus, as a guiding mechanism in scientific investigation, the General Systems Theory adopted by Bertrand in understanding landscape analysis in a systemic and integrated perspective, resulting in a geosystemic analysis that is composed of the integration of climate, hydrology and geomorphology ( Ecological Potential), with vegetation, soil and fauna (Biological Potential) plus the combination of human action (Anthropic action). As for the methodological paths, information was collected in institutional bodies such as IBGE, SEMARH, ANA and RADAM BRASIL to reinforce the information about Salgado's reality, which can be viewed through field visits, photographic records, cartographic surveys. , unstructured interviews and construction of educational products. The research is exploratory in nature and has shown as a result that in the urban environment the lack of basic sanitation and the irregular disposal of solid waste in open dumps in the municipality of Salgado has contributed to water pollution compromising the quality of life. On the other hand, in the rural environment, deforestation, the trampling of large animals enhance soil erosion and the silting of rivers. Thus, one of the measures that would minimize the socio-environmental impacts would be the adoption of water reuse, which would avoid the consumption of higher quality in the treatment, contributing to water availability in periods of drought, when the flow of rivers decreases and water distribution to the community is compromised. Aiming to promote a new environmental rationality, in order to contribute to the transformation of the Salad community, strategic and interdisciplinary pedagogical activities in Environmental Education such as: the word cloud, comic strip, theater, models, puppet theater, drawings and infographics made it possible for elementary school students were mobilized and began to collaborate with the reduction of socioenvironmental impacts in the surface waters of Salgado. |
