This present study aimed to develop an analysis of the teaching materials used in public school from the postulates and requirements brought by the legislation about education in Brazil , by Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education , by the official documents issued by the Ministry of Education, which aimed to guide the practice of foreign language teaching at school, as well as by the theoretical studies of education in order to verify the adequacy of teaching materials to those documents considering the studies of multiliteracies , diversity and inclusion. To achieve this, we selected the Links collection, published in 2011. This analysis is justified because one of the documents issued by the Ministry of Education, which deals specifically with the teaching materials, the National Textbook Program, PNLD, through the Textbook Guide, brings such issues as mandatory approach for the foreign language book as a condition for the inclusion of it in the list of books available for free selection of public school teacher. The methodology used was the study of literature and documents which comprised theoretical of the three themes, the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education and the official documents issued by the Ministry of Education, such as National Curriculum Parameters, from 1998, Curriculum Guidelines for High School, from 2006, and the National Textbook Program, from 2011. |
