Resumo: The use of technology has been an increasingly present and necessary reality in the management of public organizations, so the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has promoted intelligent, sustainable and innovative government structures. ICT has revolutionized the method of collecting, producing, and disseminating information, gradually changing the way government institutions, businesses, and the community access and deal with information - much too because society itself is increasingly using activities. The transition from physical processes to electronic processes seeks to benefit public organizations, providing cost reduction with material, personnel and time in public administration. Given the above, the purpose of this study was to elaborate a proposal for the creation of the Electronic Academic Process (e-Academic) system for the use of complementary activities in the Computer Department of the Federal University of Sergipe. As a strategy adopted, the study was developed through an action research, since the objective of the work was to elucidate a social and technical problem having the researcher as a member of the problem situation. The research used as a source of evidence participant observation and documentary analysis. The work is divided in three stages, clarifying, initially, the identification of the problem within a specific context; determining, in the sequence, the diagnosis and possible solutions to the problem detected; presenting, finally, a planning and the intervention method (s) used to solve the respective difficulty. The e-Academic was developed in the administrative portal of the Computer Department (AdminDComp) and is expected to be implemented as of the academic year 2018.2 of the institution's graduation. The research is relevant, above all, to cover the educational area - improving procedures of a Higher Education Institution - and the public administration area - improving its administrative procedures from a modern and effective solution.
