Resumo: We analyze the expansion of Calvinism in reference the Brazilian evangelical field, a phenomenon felt throughout the 2000s and 2010s with the main objective of ascertaining its reality, also to producing a writing of its history. For that, we base ourselves on the fundamental principle of Social History of conceiving the object from the perspective of the collectivity and, we adaptively use the analytical structure of Cultural History conceived by Chartier, in particular, its concept of “representation”, which is handled together with other concepts such as “identification”. We create a collection composed of a variety of sources, mostly available on the Internet. Thus, we proceeded with an inductive analysis of the Calvinist expansion, considering the sources as clues that point and describe the phenomenon. Thus, in the first chapter we produce a doctrinal historical concept for Calvinism. In the second, we demonstrate the tiny influence of distinctly Calvinist doctrines on the development of Brazilian Evangelicalism throughout its history. In the third, we proceed with a writing of the history of Calvinist expansion in Brazil throughout the 2000s and 2010s, through the production of a trail of clues arranged chronologically. The appendix lists some attributes that characterize Brazilian Calvinists whose faith is expanding.
