This paper aims to analyze some implications of information systems in the professional practice of social workers based on a bibliographical research carried out at the thesis bank of CAPES and scientific articles on the subject. It is an investigation that took as reference the historical-dialectical materialism, since the object of study is immersed in contradictions of the capitalist system. As part of the increase in new technologies applied to work in modernity, after the advent of productive restructuring, the use of information systems is part of the work routine of bourgeois institutions in which Social Work operates. This type of instrument reproduces the rationality of the bourgeois order and is configured, in the current context of precarious conditions and labor relations, as a mechanism to intensify the exploitation of the work of the teams that operate services and social rights, also composed by social workers. As far as it potentializes the professional demand overload, other potencial implications of its generalization in social policies are the expansion of productivity goals and the standardization of institutional and professional responses, leading to pragmatism in opposition to the emancipatory rationality defended hegemonically by the Brazilian Social Work. |
