Technologies have been providing constant changes in everyday scenarios and changing the way people have related. For libraries, smart devices are great allies for product and service innovations. In this sense, the research aimed to identify the potential of RFID using geolocation to analyze the behavior, experience and frequency of the user in the library, considering the access to various environments of the Central Library of the Federal University of Sergipe (BICEN / UFS). This is the preparation of a proposal for BICEN that demonstrates the necessary requirements for the implementation of this system. It used the descriptive method to describe the characteristics of the service provided, the exploratory research and the bibliographic research, with timeframe from 2011 to 2017. In the international literature the publication about the use of RFID in libraries is recurrent, mainly in privacy-related approaches. safety, inventory and tracking of items, whereas in national literature the discourse is lower limiting the safety of items, inventory and self-service. As a product of the project presented to BICEN / UFS, a document entitled “Guidelines for the implementation of analysis of behavior and user experience in libraries using institutional RFID cards” was prepared. Although the proposal was submitted to BICEN / UFS, it is considered to serve as a benchmark for other university libraries.
