Resumo: |
Introduction: Cancer is one of the major public health problems worldwide and its therapy has become highly specialized and well advanced in recent years. Although the activities performed by pharmacists in cancer therapy have increased in recent years, there is a lack of systematic reviews on the subject. The aim of this study is to show the impact of clinical pharmacy services in cancer patients. Method: A systematic review was performed, including quasi-experimental intervention, cohort, case-control, and clinical trials. The selection of the studies was carried out in the COCHRANE, Embase, PubMed, SCOPUS and Web of Science databases. Results: The initial search identified 4,863 studies, which after the selection process resulted in 10 studies included in the review. The main pharmaceutical services reported in the studies were the identification of adverse drug events and PRMs, improvement in quality of life, pain control, educational activities, patient satisfaction, management of specific therapies / patients. Conclusions: Pharmaceutical services can improve overall quality of life, PRMs and optimize chemotherapy for cancer patients and reduce medical costs. Pharmaceutical intervention significantly decreases the incidence of vomiting and increases antiemetic compliance. |
