Resumo: This research aims to select and analyze major socioeconomic and supply conditions of the course of undergraduates in Chemistry, Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in the two types of education - Distance Learning (EaD) and Face Teaching (EP). The survey was conducted to: i) learn through literature, the main features used in the design of a socioeconomic profile and conditions of the offering of the course graduates ii) identify and analyze the characteristics of the two groups raised students (EP and EaD) in order to outline a possible portrait of undergraduate chemistry degree. To run this way, students were consulted (course and distance), teachers who teach in both teaching modalities and tutors (and distance). It was used as an instrument for data collection questionnaire - in specific modules for each category of survey participants - apply in person and via e-mail. In the questionnaire modules, we attempted to investigate socioeconomic aspects - age, sex, race, income, marital status, etc.. - And aspects related to academic - difficulties encountered during the course, access to reference books and teaching materials, etc.. Through data analysis, we can say that the characteristics of the students and the EP and EaD with respect to socioeconomic aspects, they differ in greater intensity with regard to age of entry into the course, as to professional practice and as a current age. It was observed that the graduates of distance education have a higher age, compared to students from the EP, both at the time of admission in the course and in the current age and in full exercise a professional activity. The conditions of the course offering, the DL can see the difficulty in accessing books, as well as the lack of student participation in this type of research groups, another highlight is the low availability of time to study.
