Resumo: Introduction: Powerlifiting has been gaining more fans all over the world every day. Therefore, the Paralympic modality is the object of research at an international level. Training with high loads and a high level of intensity tend to promote biochemical and cellular alterations , promoting fatigue and interfering with performance. Thus, more and more methods have been sought, such as supplementation that help in recovery and reduce fatigue, such as some antioxidant substances. Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of resveratrol supplementation on temperature and dynamic strength indicators (Average Propulsive Velocity, Maximum Velocity and Power) at diferent times before and after a training session. Methods: 10 athletes practicing Paralympic powelifiting, at national level, from the extension program of the Federal University of Sergipe, all male, participated in the study. The athletes were submitted to two conditions: PLA (Placebo, 500 mg/day of maltodextrin) RES (500 mg/day of resveratrol), where the atletes’ supplementation was determined by lot. 50% were allocated to the PLA condition and 50% to the RES. And the following week there was a change in supplementation. Results: There were diferences in the Pectoral Muscle, between Placebo (PLA) between the before moments (32,90±1,37ºC, IC 95% 31,92-33,88) and the 24 Hour Moments (34,60±1,07ºC, IC 95% 33,83-35,37; “a” p=0,026) and the time 48 hours(34,70±1,34 ºC, IC 95% 33,74-35,66; “b” p=0,049, interclass, ɳ2p=0,625, very highteffect). There were still diferences between PLA after (34,40±1,65ºC, IC 95% 33,22-35,58) and Resveratrol (REV)after, (31,90±1,60 ºC, IC 95% 30,76-33,04; “*” p<0,001, interclass ɳ2p=0,326, hight effect). In the Deltoid muscle (1B), there were differences in the LPA between the moments before (31.60±0.84 ºC, 95% CI 31.00-32.20), viii after (35,10±1,29 ºC, IC 95% 34,18-36,02; “a” p<0,001), 24 hours (35,00±0,94 ºC, IC 95% 34,33-35,67, “b” p<0,001) and the moment 48 hours (35,60±1,07 ºC, IC 95% 34,83-36,37; “c” p<0,001). There were also differences in the REV, between the moments before(31,70±0,95 ºC, IC 95% 31,02-32,38) and 48 hours (33,70±1,25 ºC, IC 95% 32,80-34,60; “d” p=0,004, intrerclass, ɳ2p=0,660, very hight effect). There were also diferences betwen the moment after between PLA and REV (32,60±1,78 ºC, IC 95% 31,33-33,87; “*” p=0,001; intercless ɳ2p=0,350, high Effect). Conclusion: After the observes results, resveratrol does not improve performance in Paralympic powerlifiting athletes however, its supplementation tends o attenuate the effect of training, with regard to skin temperature a an indicator of the inflammatory process.
