Historically, the Brazilian rural countryside highlighted by get organized around food production, in which the dominant economic activity was based almost exclusively on agricultural crops, it is in agriculture. Today, the rural environment has been going through a series of transformations forming the so-called "new rural", in which new economic activities has been developed to promote the sustainability of settlers. In this way, the pluriactivity of farmers is an important object of analysis of sustainability in agrarian reform settlement projects. In this research, the term pluriactivity is understood as the combination of agricultural and non-agricultural activities carried out by people who belong to the same family, and can be carried out inside or outside the property. From that point of view, it was examined whether the pluriactivity farmers settled into Jacaré Curituba settlement, as a basis for assessing its sustainability levels. The methodology was based on the methods of comprehensive and comparative analysis with qualitative and quantitative approaches, raised by means of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, having as target audience families settled and the leaders of Agro-villas.Was using interdisciplinary sustainability indicators form whose construction and analysis were carried out based on the template, Indicateurs de Durabilité des Exploitations Agricoles IDEA, of whom identified the differences and similarities of the pluriativas families settled and their levels of sustainability, which, in turn, revealed the good level of sustainability of the Jacaré Curituba Settlement. |
