It is a study with the following objectives: to construct an instrument for the nursing consultation to patients with urological problems attended at the specialty clinic, based on the Theory of Basic Human Needs and to validate the content of the instrument for the nursing consultation a patients with urological problems. For that, three methodological designs were used: an integrative review, a medical records analysis and a methodological study with quantitative approach. The study site was the specialty outpatient clinic of the University Hospital of the Federal University of Sergipe. The Theory of Basic Human Needs was used as theoretical reference. For the review study, the sample consisted of articles that dealt with nursing care for patients diagnosed with urological problems, published in the last 10 years (2009-2018), in the databases LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE and PubMed, in the languages English Portuguese and Spanish. Searches were also made in the medical records of the patients seen in the outpatient clinic. For the methodological study the sample consisted of six judges who validated the empirical indicators found for patients diagnosed with urological problems. The study was carried out by means of the following steps: identification of the empirical indicators, validation of the empirical indicators by the selected judges and structuring of the instrument from Basic Human Needs. In the analysis of the data was considered for the confirmation and relevance of the empirical indicators the Concordance Index greater or equal to 0.8. The integrative review to identify the empirical indicators resulted in 11 selected articles. After the process of identification of the indicators and normalization, a list was created with 883 indicators, of which 331 were validated, which were matched according to the theoretical reference in 15 psychobiological needs, 12 psychosocial needs and a spiritual need. For the psychobiological needs, 254 indicators were totalized, and the need for elimination presented a greater number of empirical indicators found. Psychosocial needs obtained 75 indicators, resulting in a greater number of empirical indicators for the need for learning. For psycho-spiritual need, two indicators were selected. In this way, the instrument for nursing consultation was structured to patients with urological problems attended at the specialty outpatient clinic. It is hoped that this instrument will contribute to the improvement of the care provided in this outpatient clinic, assist in the process of achieving professional respect and allow the strengthening of nursing as a science, through the use of a standardized terminology for nursing.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
