In this way, this research raised the following problem: how information literacy developed by Protocol and Archive sector users at São Cristóvão campus of Federal Institute of Sergipe can contribute to reducing the barriers encountered by them when accessing the Electronic System of Information (SEI)? So it’s main objective is: to develop information competence in Protocol and Archive sector users at São Cristóvão campus of Federal Institute of Sergipe, in order to minimize the barriers to access and use the Electronic Information System (SEI). Specific objectives: to identify users’ informational needs when accessing SEI; to map users’ information competence for handling SEI; and to develop a Practical Guide for SEI users of Protocol and Archives sector at São Cristóvão campus of Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS) as the final product of this dissertation. In relation to the methodological procedures, this is a professional master research, which is characterized as exploratory to its objective, with a qualitative approach and an applied nature. In relation to the investigation method, it was based on a bibliographical review, a documentary research and a case study. As data collection technique, it used an online questionnaire applied to SEI users at São Cristóvão campus and also a document analysis applyed to administrative proceedings filed, both were applyed between January 2022 and June 2023. It used Bardin's content analysis to study the results. Therefore, this study identified that the development of information literacy can reduce the barriers encountered by users when using the SEI, as it improves and optimizes the use of the system and through the Practical Guide and mainly with the help of the videos that guide its use. of the system will bring more autonomy to the user, with a smaller margin of error in the opening of the processes, since he will have a guidance instrument in his hands, making the access and use of the SEI easier and faster, with users more secure and satisfied regarding the system usage. |
