In the present work, an attempt was made to systematically describe the study of trigonometry, ranging from approaches used in primary and secondary education, reaching results arising from graduation, thus composing the purpose of PROFMAT, of training teachers in the basic education network. In the text, the study of trigonometry is exposed in a particular way, starting from the history of the theory, showing how it can be applied in everyday life, deducing some formulas, working on contextualized questions, always having as an objective to suggest a point of view on the subject, at the various levels at which trigonometry is inserted. In view of the process of acquiring knowledge, different forms of questions were worked on, from those present in textbooks, ENEM questions, which focused on demystifying a little the trauma of the content and consequently the approval of students for a higher course and of problems taken from the OBMEP assessment notebooks, those elaborated by IMPA (Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics). Finally, empirical situations were created that were solved by the students through a manipulable material that was modeled by them with the teacher’s monitoring. |
