Search to view the process of forming the ALARMS (Lavadeiras of Association of the Metropolitan Region of Salvador) as a mobilizing agent in its category. Forms of organization, the demands, guidelines and claims of washerwomen will be key points of discussion within this panorama. In addition, the research presents the story of several laundresses as well as a discussion on how these workers are portrayed in Historiography. For this endeavor, we carried out a Statute outline analysis of ALARMS, periodicals of the time, the Association Bulletins, tables and charts. This work follows the indications of the English historian E. P. Thompson, to understand the association of training as a result of their experiences "inherited and / or shared." It is important to note also that the research outlined here was guided in the bibliography to the analyzed time frame.
