Resumo: |
This dissertation aims at understanding Maria Thétis Nunes' performance as director of Colégio Estadual de Sergipe during the period from 1951 to 1955, a period that marks the beginning and the end of her functions as head of that educational institution. This study is part of the field of Educational History and is a qualitative research of historical, documentary, and bibliographic nature that shares principles defended by Cultural History. The theoretical-methodological foundations that underpin this work meet the concepts of intellectual and sociability networks advocated by Jean-François Sirinelli, articulated to the concepts of field, of Pierre Bourdieu, which will support the process of analysis of the data collected. Among the documentary sources are teacher's time book, employee contract book, diploma registration book, annual school report minutes, final result minutes, general exam minutes, oral test minutes, school congregation meeting minutes, certificate, bulletin, class notebook, publication in the newspaper, magazine and, official diary, photography and, mainly, correspondence book sent and received from the mentioned educational establishment. In the preliminary analysis and through semi-structured interviews, it was identified that the year-end reports will allow us to understand a little more about Maria Thétis Nunes' performance as regent of the State College of Sergipe, besides revealing the educational situation of the main secondary school in the State of Sergipe at the time in vogue. |
