Resumo: Before the construction of the coastal bridges which began in the 1990´s, the municipalities of the coastal zone of Sergipe presented a fragility of road communication to the accomplishment of tourist activities, among others. However, after the 1990´s, a new orientation of economic development took place in the country with the adoption of public policies associated with international agreements with multilateral agencies to the development by tourism, especially in the Brazilian Northeast. This tendency of investment was followed by the State of Sergipe for the development of tourism with the construction of coastal highways, waterway interconnections, bridge constructions and the creation of other infrastructures for tourism, which facilitated, intensified and diversified the geographical flows of the zone coastal municipalities and contributed significantly to the (re-)production of this space. The aim of this study is to analyze the regional dynamics and the territorial reconfigurations that took place in the coast of Sergipe after the installation of the infrastructure of bridges and highways, based on the thesis that: public policies of the implementation of infrastructures (bridges and highways) in the coastline of the state of Sergipe, justified by the discourse of the development of tourism that create and intensify the social and spatial segregation in this part of the Sergipe coast, in order to promote and support the facilitation of the entry of speculative capital through the intensification of flows, especially in the implementation of private real estate investments, which (un)territorialize, overvalue the land, attract new investment, generate environmental impacts and trigger strong social and landscape contrasts, besides intensify the regional dynamics. The proposed research is based on the dialectical analysis, considering the contradictions of the production of tourism and the role of the State in promoting this public policy, which in the promotion of tourism, (re) produces socio-spatial segregation and capital appreciation, through real estate ventures.
