The research aims to duplicate the BR-101/SE with a focus on the new territorial configuration after the implementation of the adaptation and duplication of the highway, with direct influence on 14 municipalities in Sergipe. The approach revolved around production, consumption and circulation, in the face of spatial or geographic relationships, that is, on the form and movement necessary for the functioning of the socioeconomic and even political and cultural gear. As a problem, it is observed that neighboring communities have not been able to adequately deal with the increase in traffic on the roads. The study intended to analyze the transformed and consumed space, with the aim of road infrastructure works. The method used for research is hypothetical-deductive, exploratory and descriptive. As a result, the transformation of space was verified through the duplication and adaptation of BR-101, the impacts caused by the installation of the project and an analysis of the changes produced in the consumption of space in support of programs under the Basic Environmental Plan. The spatial adjustment caused by the duplication of BR-101 gave new meaning to the territorial configuration and enabled the intensification of flows in their most varied forms. |
