Resumo: | The cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum Nees) is a tree that belongs to Lauraceae family, their records dating back to centuries before Christ, has always had high commercial value, its origin comes from China and Sirilanka, adapts to the hot humid climates in the tropics, Tree measuring approximately eight meters. There are studies developed on their leaves, flowers, bark and roots in the literature characterization of its chemical constituents, but there are few studies chemical, physicochemical and biological on the seed of the species. The object of study was the characterization of metals, determination of physicochemical properties and bioassay shin seed (Cinnamomum zeylanicum Nees). The following results by GC-FID were obtained: Lauric acid, 88.65% AGS as a major and unsaturated fatty acids (UFA 2.79%), and oleic, ω-9 (1.88%), linoleic, ω-6 (0.72%), linolenic, ω-3 (0.19%); NMR: Iodine number (I2 0.46 mg / g) Saponification (230.44 mg KOH / g) Acid value (3.32 mg KOH / g) and average molecular weight (712.35 g / mol); ICP-OES: were identified by the presence of metals: K (66.54%), Na (23.70%), P (4.85%), Ca (3.06%), S (1.16% ), Mg (0.48%) and Ti (<0.005%) and by bioassays inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (Alzheimer) 65%, this percentage regarded as potent in the inhibition process. These results, although preliminary studies, cinnamon butter seed - MSC It shows potential for the production of drugs through primary manipulations, in the manufacture of compound food or health food. And, for this it is necessary to proceed with the research, deeper in the properties of the compounds by detecting the appropriate amounts to use its effects, its benefits and thus give our contribution to science, seeking to promote sustainable development by integrating people and forest, encouraging sustainable extraction and use scientifically proven resources. |
