The research object of this study is the relationship between the lifestyle of teachers , the practice of teaching and the health problems that cause the removal of these professional activities of teachers . Our object of study assesses the health of teachers and their relationship with the lifestyle that involves five factors : physical activity , relationships , stress management , eating habits and preventive behaviors . We did research the following research problem : what is the relationship between lifestyle, the practice of teaching and illness among elementary school teachers in public schools in the city of Boa Vista - RR ? Having as main objective to identify the relationship between practice of teaching , the lifestyle and the phenomena of health and illness in elementary school teachers I Boa Vista evaluating factors related to ergonomic requirements, mental health disorders and health problems general. To do so , we draw the following specific objectives : I check the main causes of absenteeism among elementary school teachers I of municipal Boa Vista - RR by Municipal Medical Board ; II assess the lifestyle of elementary school teachers in the municipal Boa Vista - RR through the protocol " profile individual lifestyle " Nahas (2001 ) III investigate the history of illness among elementary school teachers in the municipal Boa Vista - RR by questionnaire and analyze the IV working conditions, which are subject teachers of municipal schools in Boa Vista - RR . This study is characterized by a descriptive approach as to approach the problem we adopted a qualitative analysis, and also made use of the objectivity of the quantitative approach . This research started with a literature review , and after qualification and approval of the ethics committee began the phase of desk research collecting secondary data from records available in the municipal medical board about the number of teacher absences . We also proceed with a field study collecting primary data through a questionnaire applied to teachers of Municipal Public Education Network . who teach from 1st to 5th year of elementary school , including teachers of physical education, arts and information technology. To review the lifestyle we used the Profile Style Single Life ( PEVI ) . The data obtained in the Bibliographical Research in Documentary Research and Field Survey indicate that the three main categories of health problem teachers are the Musculoskeletal Problems , Problems related to voice and Mental Health Problems . The study also shows that teachers relate their clearances to the exercise of the magisterium , or by professional and / or the conditions of work assignments . While the analysis of the profile Lifestyles shows that teachers adopt negative behaviors into your routine , especially in physical activity and nutrition component. We conclude that the Teaching is a profession that directly influences the routine of teachers , being a determinant in your lifestyle , therefore , many of these professionals adopt negative behaviors and are exposed to more risk factors , the consequences are becoming , clearance activities in the classroom and the abandonment of the profession.
