Resumo: The economic development models practiced, mainly in the Amazon, since the 17th century, with the protagonism of the Amazon rubber economy and the nationalist development policies since 1930, and which were deepened after the Brazilian Military Regime (1964-1985), brought several impacts on the country's last frontier of capitalist expansion, especially on small towns, villages and communities, as well as environmental and ethnic impacts. These development models with exogenous characteristics ignore local realities and potentialities, since such models do not allow other actors besides those who are directly part of the concrete process, not the social one. It is in this context that this work aims to point out the main socioeconomic impacts resulting from nationalist development actions from the 1970s, with the opening of the federal highway BR-174, as well as the impacts occurred after the year 2000, marked by the inauguration of a bridge over the Rio Branco, in the municipality of Caracaraí. These impacts were pointed out on a smaller, micro scale within a village called Vista Alegre. In order to achieve this objective, the dissertation was based on an exploratory, descriptive and explanatory methodological basis, as well as qualitative and technical methods based on bibliographical revision, scientific texts, photographic, journalistic and documentary sources, as well as maps and charts, referring to the composition of its chapters, mainly for the research of a case study that requires data and information that justify such impacts. This research was carried out in an interdisciplinary way, since it intends to leave open aspects of the Human, Exact and Economic Sciences, for future research in Vista Alegre or in other villages or communities in the state of Roraima.
