SEBRAE, nationally, aims to promote the competitiveness and sustainable development of micro and small businesses. Among its strategies to achieve the aforementioned is the promotion of innovation and technology actions by micro and small companies, as one of its main focuses throughout Brazil, especially through the application of the SEBRAETEC product, since 2002, which involves the extension subsidized technology to meet the difficulties faced by this public. The aim of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of the application of the SEBRAETEC product by SEBRAE in the state of Roraima, analyzing the results obtained in the period from 2016 to 2019 with micro and small companies in that state, whose problems are based to know if the quantitative results obtained by SEBRAE contribute to local economic development with a focus on innovation based on the SEBRAETEC product. The research in question pursued the following objectives: Verify and present the policies to support innovation established in the state of Roraima; Analyze the institutional policy used by SEBRAE to encourage innovation in Roraima; Evaluate the results obtained through the application of the SEBRAETEC product with micro and small companies in the state of Roraima by SEBRAE; As well as the preparation of a technical report capable of demonstrating the results of the execution of the SEBRAETEC product, given its efficiency. The following was also stipulated: In the state of Roraima there would be public policies that favor micro and small companies for access to innovation and technology; The institutional policy implemented by SEBRAE meets the needs of micro and small businesses regarding innovation in Roraima; Economic and financial subsidies provide competitive advantages to micro and small businesses. The methodology adopted was basically based on qualitative/exploratory research, with a view to gathering and examining the entire source of internal documents for SEBRAE's management in Roraima in relation to SEBRAETEC, in order to prepare a record of the results obtained with the application of said product in Roraima. The justification for carrying out this research is based on the fact that the incorporation of technology and innovation in the micro and small business environment is crucial for the beginning of its operation and survival in the competitive market, considering the viability of access to services for micro and small companies technologies for improvement and innovation in processes, products/services or the introduction of innovations in markets. It was concluded that economic development, based on access to innovation and technology, allows micro and small businesses to be more competitive regardless of where they are based; SEBRAE, as a non-profit institution, has the characteristics of a transforming agent by providing technological extension services in a subsidized way, acting as a private development agency.
